Job Summary
Develop, program, and commission automation control systems from concept through implementation, creating virtual commissioning environments and designing SCADA/HMI applications. Design detailed electrical control systems, producing schematics and panel assembly drawings using AutoCAD Electrical. Collaborate with cross-functional engineers to integrate conveyor controls, automated material handling, and autonomous vehicles while breaking down designs into manageable tasks. Provide 24/7 remote support, perform on-site commissioning and testing, and mentor less experienced engineers. Requires up to 50% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters in: Controls Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in control systems engineering with a bachelor's degree or a master's degree
- Ability to read and debug PLC programs
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- Experience commissioning and troubleshooting VFD's
- Familiarity with: Studio 5000/RSLogix, FactoryTalk View, and AutoCAD
- Ability to assist in project definition, specification, purchasing follow-through to installation
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in software and hardware
- Excellent written and oral communications skills, and strong interpersonal skills
- Job will require up to a maximum of 50% travel
Desired Qualifications
- Experience commissioning and troubleshooting servo drives
- SQL Management experience
- Understanding of computer networking concepts and architecture
- Warehouse operations management experience or experience with warehouse management and/or execution systems
