Job Summary
HVAC Electrical Controls Installer performs routine installation and checkout on control systems under supervision, working with prime electrical contractors as required. Responsibilities include installing raceways, cables, and wiring to meet codes and customer requirements, mounting and terminating controls equipment, potentially assisting with electrical estimates for retrofit projects, verifying wiring with test instruments, and completing on-site documentation. Maintains customer communication on arrival and departure, adheres to Johnson Controls safety programs, resolves installation issues, and provides feedback to engineering on changes while keeping as-built drawings current.
Required Qualifications
- Electrical apprenticeship or formal training
- Journeyman electrical licensure
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Working knowledge of local codes as it applies to controls
- Experience in scope determination of installation materials
- Able to work independently
