Job Summary
The Controls Design Engineer position involves preparing temperature control system wiring and installation drawings, collaborating with teams to deliver high-quality controls solutions, engaging with customers, and maintaining design documentation. Responsibilities include designing systems based on proposals, executing CAD drawings, making design decisions, soliciting bids from suppliers, and participating in training and job meetings. This role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in building controls or automation systems design. Strong skills in CAD and MS Office, along with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in building controls/automation systems design
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
Desired Qualifications
- Strong design software skills (CAD, MS Office primarily Word and Excel)
- Accuracy with numbers and details
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Experience in construction, primarily Temperature Controls, HVAC or Electrical fields
