Job Summary
Develop and implement control and diagnostic algorithms for vehicle features using Model-Based coding in MATLAB, C, or C++. Define calibration strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and translate system requirements into control strategies while managing strategic interfaces for component reuse. Support root cause analysis, define unit tests, and collaborate with teams to integrate components for bench and vehicle validation. Mentor new employees, build training tools, and help resolve vehicle or plant issues related to controls and calibration. Requires five years of experience in embedded controls, C-language coding, and Simulink, with a Bachelor's degree in engineering. Hybrid work policy includes three days in-office and two days remote.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field of study
- Five years of experience as a Developer or related occupation
- Five years of experience with Embedded controls and controls software development
- Three years of experience with Software coding including C-language, Simulink, MATLAB, DOORS, GIT environments; plant modeling, and analysis tools; Control system theory and application to embedded systems including state space feedback control, adaptive control, or model predictive control; and Brake Control, Chassis Control or Battery High Voltage, Vehicle Energy Transfer, Charging or Automotive System
- Two years of experience with Electrification and diagnostics; JIRA; and MIL, SIL, HIL or CPUU Testing
- 5% travel to client sites nationwide
- Must be able to report to local office
