Job Summary
Controls Design Engineer responsible for designing and developing PLC-based control systems, hardware and software, with experience in installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Requires effective communication with customers, ability to design control systems from scratch, develop PLC software to company standards, and oversee project activities such as design reviews, budgets, and schedules. Travel 20-30% overnight to client facilities. Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent and 3-7 years of related experience preferred; experience with robotics or vision systems and cross-functional collaboration are valued.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology diploma or equivalent, normally with 3 - 7 years’ related working experience
- Must be able to travel 20-30% overnight to client facilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with Project Management and customers
- Ability to work in a team environment
