Controls Automation Technician (Shift 7pm-7am)

Job Summary
Troubleshoot and maintain controls components and systems for production utilities. Responsibilities include observing all safety rules, troubleshooting and repairing various electrical sensors and control devices, performing preventative maintenance, making wiring/programming changes, and assisting with projects and installations. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma with an Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent, skills in electrical troubleshooting, knowledge of electrical theory and various control systems, and experience in a team environment. Ability to read electrical schematics and PLC logic is essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Fundamental knowledge of electrical theory
- Solid knowledge of three phase, single phase and DC power
- Familiar with NEC and standard wiring practices
- Utilizes meters and oscilloscopes to identify electrical problems
- Reads electrical schematics
- Advanced knowledge of all controller based hardware and software
- Reads and make small changes to PLC ladder logic
- Reads and troubleshoot motion control/servo programs
- Reads HMI software to identify its effects on the equipment
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years of industrial experience
- Personal Computer skills including specific controls programming software
- Good analytical skills
