Job Summary
Design, estimate, and sell complex building automation systems, including analytics connections and reporting services. Consolidate data for reports and presentations, develop owner sales plans, and generate quotes to close orders with core customers. Visit engineer and architect offices to educate stakeholders and influence indirect markets, while delivering project bids directly to contractors and New System Sales. Assist with custom plan and specification delivery, gather customer feedback for management, and provide necessary information to ensure on-time job completion.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 5+ years sales experience
- Experience in Controls plan and specification projects
- Experience in direct negotiated sales
- Experience in Controls system integration
- Experience with Tridium
- Experience with BacNet
- Experience with Lon
- Experience with Trane
- Experience with other major control vendors
- Valid Driver License
- CEM certification
- LEED certification
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret service bulletins, technical procedure manuals, equipment specifications, and governmental regulations
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from top management, customers and staff
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Ability to travel locally as required
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Ability to pass drug screening
- Ability to prove US employment eligibility
