Controlling Operation R&D Financial Analyst

Job Summary
Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities by preparing accruals, journal entries for SAP, and maintaining financial master data. Partner with Account to Report and Finance Business Partners to ensure accurate financial results while tracking R&D purchase orders and managing goods receipt and invoice processing. Prepare monthly account reconciliations, analyze financial trends to identify variances, and support budgeting and forecasting cycles using TM1 and Power BI. Monitor commitments for YTD and YTG spend visibility and ensure compliance with SOX requirements and internal controls. Collaborate with global stakeholders to improve financial processes and enhance analytical capabilities within the R&D Controlling Operations team.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in Controllership, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or related finance roles
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or another analytical discipline
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Proficiency using Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, complex formulas, and basic macros
- Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work across multiple financial systems and digital tools
- High ethical standards and commitment to financial integrity
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders across different functions and organizational levels
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities

Desired Qualifications
- Experience within the pharmaceutical industry or public accounting is an advantage
- Progress toward or interest in professional certifications such as CMA, CIMA/CGMA, ACCA, or CPA
- MBA or Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
- Experience with SAP, TM1 (IBM Planning Analytics), and Power BI is preferred
