Job Summary
Analyst/Associate in Goldman Sachs LatAm Controllers (São Paulo) responsible for assisting with financial statements under Brazil GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS; ensuring regulatory reporting to authorities under multiple GAAPs; supporting month-end closing processes; responding to external auditors and regulators; performing data analysis, reconciliations, and maintaining balance sheet controls; providing ad hoc analyses and projects. Requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting with CRC, 2+ years in financial-institution accounting/regulatory control, and strong English plus VBA/Excel skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and registration with the Conselho Regional de Contabilidade (CRC) are required.
- At least two years of experience in financial institution accounting or regulatory control roles under Bacen GAAP.
- Knowledge of accounting principles; familiarity with Brazil GAAP or COSIF is considered an advantage.
- Intellectually curious and diligent.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to understand transactions and their impact on local GAAP under COSIF requirements.
- Teamwork- and collaboration-oriented, with the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrates considerable energy, focus, drive, and a sense of urgency.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Advanced English proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading.
- Advanced programming knowledge, including VBA, Excel macros, and similar tools.
