Job Summary
Oversee quarterly valuation processes for private debt and equity positions through financial statement analysis, yield analysis, and discounted cash flow modeling. Manage independent third-party valuations and participate in external and internal audit review processes. Deliver investor and regulatory reporting, including MD&A disclosures for financial statements, and present findings to the valuation committee. Collaborate daily with portfolio managers, Fund Accounting, and Operations to ensure accurate pricing and control independence under the SOX 404 framework.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Finance / Accounting
- CPA
- CFA
- MBA
- 4-6 years relevant work experience
- Working knowledge of Private Equity and Private Debt valuations
- Knowledge of market approach
- Knowledge of DCF
- Knowledge of liquidation approach
- Strong understanding of WACC
- Strong understanding of CAPM
- Strong understanding of Contingent Claims Analysis models
- Strong understanding of Fixed Income and Equities markets
- Strong understanding of the alternative investment management industry
- Extensive Microsoft Office experience
- Experience with Excel
- Experience with PowerPoint
- Experience with Outlook
- Strong understanding of valuation accounting disclosures
- Strong interpersonal (verbal and written communication) skills
- Experience presenting/communicating with senior managers
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
