Job Summary
Associate, Product Controllers in New York responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly P&L analyses for Fixed Income businesses; analyze P&L around trading activity and risk positions to highlight material items to senior management and prepare P&L commentary. Liaise with Trading Desk and Operations to ensure transactions are booked correctly and to resolve P&L discrepancies; perform independent price verification procedures monthly; conduct daily balance sheet analyses for FICC businesses; collaborate with traders and other stakeholders to resolve P&L breaks and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, Financial Technology, Accounting Science or related field OR Bachelor’s degree in same fields with three years of relevant experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience with a Master’s degree or 3 years with a Bachelor’s degree in producing and reviewing daily P&L and risk reporting, including P&L attribution and reconciliations
- Experience with month-end close activities, posting ledger adjustments, finalizing books of accounts
- Experience with balance sheet substantiation and obtaining supporting documentation
- Preparation of regulatory disclosures
- Ability to identify process gaps and implement improvements
- Experience collaborating with traders and other stakeholders to resolve P&L breaks and valuation differences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for P&L reporting
