Job Summary
Treasury Funding Controller role in London responsible for financial reporting and monitoring across multiple entities. Prepare daily profit and loss for trading desks, assess revenue in the context of market moves, and reconcile front office systems with sub-ledger and general ledger. Produce and review P&L attribution and commentary for trading, investing, and new issuance businesses. Lead strategic initiatives to improve process flows and automation of end-to-end reporting. Review trading activity to assess portfolio valuation and highlight material issues for management. Conduct monthly price verification and challenge trader inputs into inventory pricing, and support US GAAP/IFRS financial reporting to senior management and external auditors. Own certain secured funding tax and reporting requirements, understand regulatory developments (e.g., NSFR), and collaborate with multiple teams globally to enhance workflows, technology, and data integrity. Engage in cross-divisional projects and demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills within a regulated environment.
Required Qualifications
- Recently qualified accountant – ACA or equivalent (e.g. CFA)
- Experience in preparation of audited financial statements under USGAAP or IFRS an advantage
- Track record of improving processes and adding value to clients/stakeholders
- Knowledge of FAS 133, AFS and HTM accounting is beneficial but not essential
- Knowledge of Hedge accounting is beneficial but not essential
