Job Summary
Controller to lead financial accounting, reporting, and compliance for a Dutch-portfolio software group. Responsibilities include owning monthly/quarterly/annual close under Dutch GAAP and supporting IFRS group reporting; managing VAT/BTW, CBS reporting, corporate tax filings, and annual audits; ensuring internal controls and regulatory compliance; leading working capital management, cash flow forecasting, invoicing, and debt collection; developing forecasting models, budgets, and KPI dashboards; driving process improvements and supporting NetSuite implementation; partnering with the Managing Director and leadership to translate financial results into actionable insights, support pricing reviews, cost optimization, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives; supervising a small finance team and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders; required to have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 7+ years’ experience, Dutch and English fluency, and strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP/IFRS; CPA/RA/RC/AA is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Previous people management experience
- Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP, IFRS, Dutch tax compliance, and statutory audit requirements
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and verbal
- RA, RC, AA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification (strongly preferred)
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite or similar ERP systems (preferred)
- Experience supporting M&A integrations and transformation initiatives (preferred)
