Job Summary
Controller role responsible for costing methodology, quotation support, cost and margin analyses, and monthly/quarterly/annual closing under HGB and US GAAP. Key duties include maintenance of cost accounting routines in Navision/ERP systems, development of internal controls to safeguard assets, preparation of reports and analyses for management, variance analyses, budgeting and forecasting support, and involvement in audits and VAT/tax filings. Requires hands-on experience with cost center/object accounting, inventory valuation, and ad hoc financial analyses to inform decision-making. Strong collaboration across departments, attention to accuracy, and proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel/BI tools. The position is based in Fulda, Germany, with in-person work expectation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Controlling, Accounting, or Finance
- Proven experience in accounting and controlling roles
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (HGB; US GAAP is a plus)
- Proficiency in ERP/financial software (Navision and/or OneStream preferred)
- Advanced MS Excel; knowledge of Power Query/Power Pivot/Power BI is an advantage
