Job Summary
Financial Controller to oversee month-end and year-end close across 10+ clinic locations, ensure ASPE-compliant financial statements, manage cash flow and budgets, partner with ownership and non-financial leaders, interact with external auditors and tax accountants, drive consolidation across multiple entities, optimize Sage Intacct integration with clinical and payroll systems, and implement robust internal controls in a remote-first Canadian platform. Requires CPA designation and 5+ years in progressive accounting, with experience overseeing multiple entities/locations, cloud-based systems, and healthcare or multi-location environments. Fully remote role with Canadian operations support and potential for growth.
Required Qualifications
- CPA designation (CA, CGA, CMA)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience overseeing multiple entities or locations
- Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct
- Experience in healthcare, professional services, or multi-location businesses
- Exposure to payroll and operational systems supporting distributed teams
- Background supporting growing, entrepreneurial organizations
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while partnering closely with ownership
Desired Qualifications
