Job Summary
The Controller will effectively manage a team of project accountants, including Staff, Senior, and Managing Senior Accountants, ensuring accurate financial reporting and client satisfaction. Responsibilities include leading property transitions, reviewing financial statement packages, overseeing training needs, and coordinating client requests. Candidates must possess strong accounting knowledge, leadership abilities, and the capacity to foster positive client relationships. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and over 10 years of relevant experience are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 10+ years' of work experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- In-depth understanding of accounting methods (cash, accrual, and full GAAP)
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents
- Leadership and motivational skills
