Job Summary
The Controller is accountable for financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, and period-end close activities across multiple subsidiaries. This role supervises the Accounting Manager, AP/AR Manager, and Cost Accountant, and collaborates with the CFO and senior leaders. Key responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing accounting functions, establishing internal controls, overseeing audits, coordinating tax filings, budgeting, forecasting, and driving process improvements. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, significant experience in accounting/finance, leadership skills, and strong knowledge of GAAP.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
- At least 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, tax planning, and internal controls
- Demonstrated experience managing finance and accounting teams in a multi-entity or manufacturing environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems, NetSuite preferred
- Proven success operating in consumer products, retail, or omni-channel businesses
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree or CPA
- Experience with Shopify, 3PL, DataLake, Azure, or Power BI
