Job Summary
Oversee full-cycle accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely, GAAP-compliant financial statements. Design and maintain a robust internal control framework while coordinating external audit activities and serving as the primary liaison with auditors. Oversee tax compliance for sales, use, and income taxes, and drive continuous improvement in accounting systems and ERP optimization. Directly supervise accountants and staff, handling hiring, training, coaching, and performance management. Partner with the CAO, CFO, and FP&A teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Support M&A diligence, investor reporting, and lender compliance activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience
- at least 3–5 years in a controller or senior accounting leadership role
- manufacturing or project-based industry experience
- Deep expertise in ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
- advanced proficiency in Excel
- experience with consolidation and reporting tools
- Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
