Job Summary
Direct and oversee day-to-day and full cycle accounting operations across multiple entities, including month-end close, reconciliations, payables/receivables, payroll, and cash management. Lead budgeting, forecasts, variance analyses, KPI reporting, profitability monitoring, and job costing to maximize profit and mitigate risk. Support financing, insurance, bonding, and audits; prepare monthly and annual financial statements and ad hoc management reporting. Manage administrative staff and ensure GAAP compliance across the organization. Requires seven years of Controller-level experience in related industries and strong proficiency with accounting software and Excel. Shift: Days, 9:00am – 5:00pm (Monday – Friday).
Required Qualifications
- At least seven (7) years experience as a Controller in construction, trades, service, or project-based businesses
- Hands on experience with general ledger A/P and A/R functions, cash management, risk assessment, and job costing
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), procedures, and any related legislation
- Proficient computer skills with a solid understanding of accounting software and Excel
