Job Summary
Develop and manage store budgets while monitoring financial performance against forecasts to identify variances and implement corrective actions. Prepare regular financial reports including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to analyze trends for cost savings or revenue enhancement. Oversee inventory control processes by monitoring stock levels, conducting counts, and reconciling discrepancies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations. Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Collaborate with store management and corporate finance teams to align financial goals with business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably in a retail environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make strategic recommendations
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Regular interaction with store management, staff, and corporate finance team
- Frequently required to sit, hear, use hands to type data, operate business equipment and dial the telephone
- Regularly required to talk and hear
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 30 lbs
