Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of financial operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll management while leading monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Prepare comprehensive financial statements and board-level presentations, develop robust financial controls, and provide strategic analysis to executive leadership for budgeting, forecasting, and profitability reviews. Ensure seamless integration of inventory and e-commerce platforms with the general ledger, optimize ERP systems, and manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies. Lead and mentor finance team members, collaborate cross-functionally with operations and sales, and establish key performance indicators to drive business growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 7-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- At least 3-5 years in a Controller or senior financial management role
- Must align with Central Time business hours for collaboration with US-based team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment with minimal supervision
- Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
- Proven track record of successful month-end and year-end close processes
- Deep understanding of US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles
- Comprehensive knowledge of US tax system, regulations, and reporting deadlines
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive-level reporting
Desired Qualifications
- CPA certification
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBA
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, or inventory-based businesses
- Public accounting experience with Big 4 or mid-tier firms
- Advanced expertise in Excel, Google Sheets, and financial modeling
- Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise, SAP, etc.)
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and inventory management systems
- Strong understanding of business intelligence and reporting tools
- Experience in process improvement and change management
