Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of financial operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll management while leading monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Prepare comprehensive financial statements, management reports, and board-level presentations to support executive decision-making. Develop and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP, tax regulations, and reporting requirements. Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis by product line and customer segment. Ensure seamless integration of inventory management, e-commerce platforms, and payment systems with the general ledger while driving process improvement initiatives. Manage relationships with external auditors and tax professionals to mitigate financial risks across the organization. Lead and mentor finance team members, collaborating cross-functionally with operations, sales, and marketing teams. Must align with Central Time business hours for collaboration with the US-based team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 7-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- At least 3-5 years in a Controller or senior financial management role
- Must align with Central Time business hours for collaboration with US-based team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment with minimal supervision
- Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
- CVs in other languages will automatically be disqualified
Desired Qualifications
- CPA certification
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBA
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, or inventory-based businesses
- Public accounting experience with Big 4 or mid-tier firms
- Advanced expertise in Excel, Google Sheets, and financial modeling
- Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise, SAP, etc.)
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and inventory management systems
- Strong understanding of business intelligence and reporting tools
- Deep understanding of US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles
- Comprehensive knowledge of US tax system, regulations, and reporting deadlines
- Proven track record of successful month-end and year-end close processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Experience in process improvement and change management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive-level reporting
