Job Summary
Direct accounting department activities including personnel assignments, month-end close, budgets, forecasts, and continuous improvement programs in accordance with GAAP guidelines. Coordinate accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions while reviewing and approving daily/monthly revenue recognition and directing payroll activity. Ensure timely submission of corporate reporting requirements and complete monthly variance analysis to evaluate financial performance and identify cost over-runs. Maintain actual costing systems and internal controls while supporting the implementation of the SAP ERP system. Participate in plant management staff decision-making, strategic planning, and presentations to facilitate process improvements across operations and commercial leadership. This six-month contract role offers potential extension to permanent status within Regal Rexnord's global industrial manufacturing portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor's degree in accounting or a finance field
- Minimum 7 years' experience in operational accounting
- Hands on experience utilizing a computerized MRP system such as SAP
- Fluent in computer use of MRP or SAP software packages
- Fluent using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access
- Ability to analyze situations and react in an appropriate and timely manner
- Excellent verbal, writing and people skills
- Have a 'can-do' attitude and not be afraid to 'roll their sleeves up' if the business/team(s) require it
