Job Summary
Controller will oversee the financial operations of the U.S. branch, ensuring timely and accurate financial management and reporting in alignment with US GAAP, IFRS, FAR, and DCAA for defense activities. Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, financial statements, and internal controls; manage accounting operations (AP/AR/payroll/GL) and month-end close; coordinate with French headquarters on strategy and reporting; ensure compliance with U.S. and French regulatory requirements; liaise with external auditors; lead strategic financial planning and provide analysis to support operational decisions; supervise and develop the finance team; and support governance through robust risk management and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or defense-related industry
- Experience with multinational companies and familiarity with French financial practices and IFRS
- Strong knowledge of FAR, DCAA requirements, and defense contracts
- experience as Controller or in senior financial management role
- Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems; SAP or Oracle a plus
- Fluent in English; proficiency in French desirable
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and able to pass security clearances relevant to the defense industry
