Job Summary
Controller overseeing financial operations for a manufacturing environment, partnering with plant leadership to drive profitability and strategic growth. Responsible for accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, inventory management, internal controls, SOX/compliance, and government contract accounting (including Percent-of-Completion). Leads and develops the accounting/finance organization, manages monthly close, capital expenditure planning, working capital and cash flow forecasting, and prepares financial reviews and management reporting packages. Evaluates capital investments, supports customer/supplier contract negotiations with financial analysis, and promotes continuous improvement within the finance function. Preferred CPA or CMA and experience with POC accounting and government contracts; ERP experience (Epicor/OneStream) desired.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience in manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, inventory accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and SOX compliance
- Experience working with ERP systems and enterprise planning tools
- Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and business partnering skills
- Ability to thrive in a hands-on manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities
