Job Summary
Coordinate patient transport bookings for renal and oncology services, managing discharges and transfers under time-critical circumstances. Act as the primary contact for service users regarding enquiries, while liaising with road staff, paramedics, and dispatchers to ensure successful journeys. Maintain awareness of safeguarding practices, keep policies updated, and provide supervision to less experienced staff as needed. Work a rolling rota from 6am to 11pm including weekends, with a requirement for full literacy, numeracy, and customer service experience.
Required Qualifications
- Good standard of literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
- Customer service experience preferably obtained in a call centre/phone-based role
- Willingness to develop existing skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Organised and logical
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Able to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Respect for confidentiality and the ability to handle sensitive issues appropriately
- Enthusiastic and motivated
- Punctual and reliable
- Ability to display a positive attitude
- Diplomatic and professional
- Hours between 6am and 11pm on a rolling rota with weekends included
