Job Summary
Lead the monthly close process, reconciliations, and ensure financial accuracy while managing Percentage-of-Completion and Work-in-Progress accounting, including schedules, journal entries, and forecasts. Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, resolving vendor disputes, managing lien waivers, and ensuring program compliance for progress billing. Train project managers and estimators on AR/billing standards, administer payroll setups through QuickBooks Payroll and BambooHR, and handle compliance matters such as 1099s, tax filings, and workers' compensation audits. Coordinate year-end close activities and prepare schedules for tax accounting. Required Qualifications
- at least 5 years of accounting experience
- ideally as a Controller or senior accountant in the construction or related industry
- proficient in QuickBooks and QuickBooks Payroll
- solid understanding of integrations such as time-tracking systems
- experience with POC/WIP accounting
- detail-oriented
- trustworthy
- comfortable working directly with operations teams
- comfortable training others
- maintaining disciplined documentation practices
