Job Summary
The Controller oversees all accounting and financial reporting functions for a $70 million construction services and maintenance company. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, managing a monthly close process, overseeing profitability reporting, and maintaining internal controls. The Controller leads the accounting team, develops financial insights, and drives cost optimization initiatives. Key qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, a minimum of 5 years in construction accounting, strong accounting principles knowledge, and proficiency in financial software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of experience in construction accounting or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office, ERP systems and financial software
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
- High attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work under pressure
