Job Summary
The Controller will lead and supervise the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial statements, compliance, and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include managing month-end close processes, reviewing reconciliations, providing technical accounting expertise, and working with auditors. The role requires a strong background in accounting, with at least 7 years of experience in accounting/audit, and leadership experience. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA is preferred, alongside effective communication, detail-oriented skills, and knowledge of GAAP.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA preferred
- At least 7 years of experience with accounting, external/internal audit/manufacturing environment
- At least 2 years of experience managing/working with the accounting team
- GAAP and inventory costing methodology and knowledge
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Self-driven individual with the motivation to grow
Desired Qualifications
- Public accounting and/or internal audit experience a plus
- Effective leadership/decision-making skills with strong staff development and communication skills
- Strong Excel, ERP, and other software skills
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
- Experience working in a dynamic and continuous improvement environment
