Job Summary
Lead all accounting and financial activities for a small aerospace manufacturing facility, including preparing GAAP-compliant financial statements, managing month-end close, and maintaining the general ledger. Analyze profitability by program and contract, forecast cash flow, and oversee accounts receivable and payable functions. Partner with plant leadership to drive cost reduction, optimize inventory levels, and support pricing decisions through margin analysis. Establish internal controls, coordinate government and customer audits, and lead budgeting efforts using ERP systems. Provide financial acumen training to operational leaders and communicate insights to non-financial stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting
- Advanced Excel and solid data analysis capabilities
- Hands-on, self-starter with ability to wear multiple hats
- Strong attention to detail and compliance discipline
- Ability to translate financial data into operational actions
- Effective communication across technical and operational teams
- Continuous improvement mindset in a regulated environment
Desired Qualifications
- CPA, CMA, or similar certification
