Job Summary
Lead the development and management of financial systems and controls aligned with organizational goals. Prepare accurate financial statements and reports ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans while overseeing payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions. Collaborate with senior management to optimize financial strategies, monitor performance by analyzing results and minimizing variances, and manage cash flow and funding strategies. Coordinate the annual audit process with external auditors and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings. Provide leadership and support to accounting and finance staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management and accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Proven experience in financial planning, risk management, and data analysis
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on transparency and ethics
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
Desired Qualifications
- CPA or advanced degree preferred
- ideally in a healthcare or nonprofit setting
- knowledge of specialized healthcare financial systems is a plus
