Job Summary
Controller to build and lead the financial operations function at myAbode’s Canada platform. Own end-to-end finance operations infrastructure including treasury, cash management, internal controls, payroll, and deal processing workflows. Hands-on leader who will design and implement a controls framework, establish a clean month-end close and reconciliations, scale AP/AR operations, and develop a dynamic rolling forecast. Must be technically fluent, adept at evaluating tools for data integrity, and capable of translating complexity into clarity for senior leadership. Real estate or proptech experience is a strong asset; CPA with 7+ years of progressive experience is preferred. The role requires building finance operations from scratch in a fast-moving environment and collaborating with external providers for payroll and procurement/sales workflows.
Required Qualifications
- CPA with 7+ years of progressive experience in finance operations or similar
- Experience building finance operations from scratch including controls, treasury, payroll, and deal processing workflows
- Strong data integrity mindset and experience evaluating finance systems/tools
- Ability to translate complexity into clarity for leadership and teams
- Experience in high-growth or early-stage environments
- Real estate or proptech experience is a strong asset
