Job Summary
Controller role for Midsouth Steel: manage Vista ERP (accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets, job cost), supervise AP/subcontractor processes, ensure accurate financial transactions, assist in monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and provide guidance to accounting staff. Reports to CFO and collaborates with project managers and senior management to support financial decision-making in construction/fabrication environment. Emphasis on financial integrity of projects, integration between IT and project teams, and leveraging ERP to support financial processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline
- substantial experience in construction/fabrication accounting
- hands-on knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Vista Viewpoint)
- strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- ability to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- excellent organizational and time-management skills
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; Power BI Tools or Spreadsheet Server helpful
