Job Summary
Manage the month-end close by reviewing financials run through external accountants and resolving discrepancies. Own the external auditor relationship, coordinate internal information requests, and investigate audit issues. Manage external tax accountants while handling direct execution such as new-state registrations and payments. Run the corporate payment cycle and troubleshoot the expense system. Lead the implementation of new systems including ERP and revenue recognition, with scope to build an in-house close process over time. This role supports Metabase's BizOps & Finance team, which operates a systems-driven approach to keeping the company running smoothly behind the scenes.
Required Qualifications
- Seasoned accountant
- Active CPA
- Expertise with US GAAP
- Expertise with SaaS revenue recognition
- Expertise with stock based compensation
- Expertise with multi-entity / international accounting
- Owned full-cycle month end close / quarter end close processes
- Managed audits end-to-end
- Undergraduate qualification in accounting, finance, or a rigorous quantitative field
- Strong investigative skills
- High bar for accuracy, with exacting attention to detail and little tolerance for errors
- Strong organizational skills
- Low ego attitude
- Based in the US
