Job Summary
Controller for a manufacturing environment responsible for safeguarding assets and ensuring integrity of financial reporting. Partners with Plant Director and leadership to evaluate financial impact of key decisions, develops facility/department measurement systems to track performance, and provides timely analysis of monthly plant performance. Performs plant studies to identify trends, assists in prep of functional/company-wide studies, and prepares plant forecasts and annual budgets aligned with corporate targets. Identifies cost-saving opportunities, oversees capital expenditure requests and audits, ensures SOX narratives and policies are followed, and conducts audits with internal/external teams. Works with Plant Materials Team to ensure inventory accuracy, supports month-end close, participates in teams/projects, and leads within the finance group while promoting a union-free or cooperative union relationship. Maintains a safe work environment and models CITE and Working in Teams principles. Performs other tasks as directed by Plant Director and Corporate Finance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of financial management or analytical experience; Manufacturing environment preferred
- Must have cost accounting experience
- Supervisory experience is a plus
- Must have experience in material flows, continuous improvement practices; and process analysis
- Track record of successful project management
- Excellent personal computer skills in a network environment; Microsoft products experience preferred - Outlook-Word-Excel-Access
- Experience in working in a team environment
- Management style must be consistent with CITE Principles
- Strong planning/Organization & Time Management skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or related discipline; advanced degree or CPA designation is a plus
- Six Sigma training is a plus
