Job Summary
Hands-on Controller role overseeing accounting operations across a portfolio of commercial properties. Lead day-to-day accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting; supervise AP/AR, tenant billing, and collections; review CAM reconciliations and lease-related accounting; oversee payroll review and financial allocations; prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statements; monitor budgets and cash flow; provide reporting and analysis to ownership/investors; mentor accounting team and drive process improvements; assist audits and regulatory compliance; require strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with experience in CRE property accounting and related systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4–5+ years accounting experience
- Prior CRE or property accounting experience
- Experience overseeing accounting operations and managing staff preferred
- Strong Excel and financial analysis skills
- Experience with Yardi, MRI, AppFolio, or similar systems preferred
