Job Summary
Lead or co-lead the ERP migration from Microsoft Great Plains to Dynamics 365 Business Central and own ERP system administration, configuration, and process alignment. Collaborate with accounting, operations, and leadership to translate workflows (inventory, purchasing, sales, invoicing, costing) into ERP structures, support AP/AR/GL/reporting, ensure data integrity, and drive post-implementation stabilization. Role may evolve from ERP-migrations-focused to a long-term Controller position depending on background, with potential for hybrid responsibilities combining financial leadership and systems oversight. Strong emphasis on ERP migration expertise, inventory and cost accounting, and partnering with external consultants or vendors as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Option 1: Controller Track: Controller or senior accounting experience in a product-based or manufacturing environment
- Strong ERP experience, including Great Plains and/or Business Central
- Experience with inventory, cost accounting, and operational finance
- Option 2: ERP / Systems Track: Hands-on experience leading or heavily supporting ERP implementations or migrations
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains and/or Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Experience working with accounting teams, finance data, and operational workflows
- Comfortable operating in environments involving inventory, materials, sales, and costing
- Does not need prior Controller title or full accounting ownership
