Controller

Oversee financial operations for the organization, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and regulatory compliance. Provide financial leadership and strategic support to executive leadership and community operations while ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. This is an onsite position at the company headquarters in Wauwatosa, WI. Responsibilities include supervising daily accounting operations (AP/AR/GL/close), preparing monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, ensuring timely month-end and year-end closes, monitoring cash flow and banking activity, developing and maintaining financial controls, overseeing the credit card program, leading annual budgeting and forecasting, analyzing variances, monitoring labor costs and occupancy, supporting strategic planning, ensuring GAAP compliance and audits, maintaining internal controls, overseeing tax filings and Medicaid billings to Managed Care Organizations, supervising onsite accounting and finance team, providing financial guidance to executives and operational leaders, collaborating on financial performance and improvements, conducting financial analyses and KPI reporting, monitoring occupancy and margins, and supporting strategic decision-making. Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA designation, and a minimum of 10 years of senior accounting/finance leadership experience with preferred experience in multi-site or senior living operations. Proficiency in Excel and accounting software; experience with Yardi is beneficial.
