Job Summary
Perform and oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll review, fixed assets, and revenue recognition. Execute month-end and year-end close processes, prepare financial statements, and analyze results to support executive decision-making. Manage daily banking activities, account reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal control procedures. Coordinate annual audits, prepare supporting documentation for external auditors, and assist with tax compliance requirements. This role reports to the Director of Finance and serves as the primary accounting resource for Deltek Vantagepoint financial data and system improvements. The position is located in South Florida, with Pompano Beach preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience
- Significant hands-on responsibility for month-end close and financial reporting
- Previous experience in a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or Senior Accountant role
- CPA
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage a full-cycle accounting function
- Advanced proficiency in Deltek Vantagepoint
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Advanced proficiency in financial reporting tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
- This position can be based at any of our five South Florida offices
- The Pompano Beach office is preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in professional services, architecture, engineering, consulting, or project-based environments
- Strong working knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, audits, and internal controls
