Job Summary
Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and revenue recognition while executing month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare financial statements, manage budgets, and analyze results to support strategic decision-making. Serve as the primary Deltek Vantagepoint resource for system improvements and financial data integrity. Coordinate annual audits, ensure GAAP compliance, and monitor cash flow and liquidity. Collaborate with project managers and executive leadership to optimize processes and drive scalability. Based at one of five South Florida offices with preferred Pompano Beach location.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience
- significant hands-on responsibility for month-end close and financial reporting
- Previous experience in a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or Senior Accountant role
- CPA
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, audits, and internal controls
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage a full-cycle accounting function
- Advanced proficiency in Deltek Vantagepoint
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Advanced proficiency in financial reporting tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
- This position can be based at any of our five South Florida offices
- the Pompano Beach office is preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in professional services, architecture, engineering, consulting, or project-based environments
- Strong working knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint
