Job Summary
Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, and monthly and year-end close. Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and lead the month-end close process while ensuring compliance with internal financial policies. Develop annual budgets, financial forecasts, cash flow projections, and variance analysis, then monitor cash flow, working capital, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Manage and mentor the accounting team while improving processes and internal controls, partnering with leadership to provide financial insight and support strategic business decisions. Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability, developing and tracking key financial metrics and performance indicators. This hands-on Controller role is ideal for an experienced accounting leader in a fast-paced, growing SaaS environment who enjoys building scalable financial processes.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience
- prior experience as a Controller or Accounting Manager
- Strong background supporting a SaaS or subscription-based business
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience managing monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Experience consolidating financial statements
- Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Location: Wall Township, NJ (On-Site)
Desired Qualifications
- CPA and/or Big 4 public accounting experience
- Experience migrating from QuickBooks Enterprise to QuickBooks Online
