Job Summary
Build and maintain all accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls from the ground up while owning day-to-day operations including AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and month-end close. Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with timely financial reporting, manage and optimize NetSuite workflows, and oversee cost accounting for product costing and margin analysis. Prepare financial statements, forecasts, and variance analysis for leadership, ensure GAAP compliance, and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors. Scale processes to support company growth in a ~$15M organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Controller or senior-level responsibility
- Strong NetSuite experience
Desired Qualifications
- CPA
- Proven cost accounting experience (manufacturing or product-based environment)
- Experience building accounting processes and controls in a growing or entrepreneurial environment
- Highly hands-on with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
