Job Summary
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and ASPE-compliant financial statements. Oversee core accounting functions including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Fixed Assets while resolving complex transaction-level issues. Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital, and liquidity alongside budgeting and strategic planning initiatives. Perform variance analysis, develop management reports, and partner with operations to drive informed decision-making. Oversee inventory accounting, costing, and valuation while analyzing landed costs and supplier pricing impacts. Monitor foreign currency exposure, evaluate hedging strategies, and support international vendor payment planning. Lead AI adoption and automation initiatives to streamline reporting and strengthen governance within the ERP system. Mentor a small accounting team, set performance expectations, and champion process improvements across the department.
Required Qualifications
- CPA designation
- Minimum 5 years of progressive financial management experience
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, and operational accounting
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience using QuickBooks
