Job Summary
Lead DMA's accounting operations and financial reporting, overseeing the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Inventory Accounting across multiple distribution centers. Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans while managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. Ensure GAAP compliance, coordinate external audits, and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets. Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership to drive profitability and operational efficiency. Monitor key performance indicators, present financial results to leadership, and lead the Accounting team in fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a Controller or senior accounting management role
- Experience leading month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Experience managing inventory and cost accounting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple departments
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams
- Must possess visual and auditory ability necessary to review financial data, conduct meetings, and communicate effectively
- Up to 10% travel between company locations, financial meetings, training, and professional development opportunities
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
- Must be available for on-site work in Loris, SC (Remote work is not available)
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods while working at a computer
- Must be able to occasionally stand, walk, and move throughout office and warehouse environments
Desired Qualifications
- CPA designation is preferred
- Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-intensive industry experience strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Preferred experience with NetSuite ERP
- Preferred experience with Financial reporting software
- Preferred experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools
- Preferred experience with Inventory management systems
- Preferred experience with Cost accounting software
