Job Summary
Conduct financial reporting for management and Board decision-making, manage transactional activities including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and month-end close, and prepare for annual audits. Recommend and implement improvements to accounting policies, internal controls, and compliance procedures while overseeing grant management and budgeting. Serve as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple nonprofit clients, interacting with staff, Boards, and Finance Committees virtually and on-site. Manage client and staff training opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5-7 plus years accounting experience
- Ability to manage and lead multiple clients, work independently, and be responsive on a timely basis
- Demonstrated strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with multiple GL packages, especially QuickBooks, and electronic bill pay systems
- Passionate about working in or supporting non-profit organizations
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance
- Experience working in a remote environment
- Non-profit accounting, public accounting experience, and/or consulting experience
- CPA certification
- Bilingual-English/Spanish
