Job Summary
Lead cost forecasting and budgeting for live events covering venue rental, staging, lighting, and production. Perform project-based accounting and financial modeling to determine event profitability while reconciling budgets on-site to prevent cost overruns. Transition Accounts Payable to in-house operations and oversee internal Accounts Receivable processes. Partner with executive leadership on strategic financial planning and support the build-out of internal accounting infrastructure. Travel to live events approximately five to ten times annually. Requires CPA and seven to ten years of accounting experience in live events or production.
Required Qualifications
- CPA
- 7–10 years of accounting experience
- Experience in live events, concerts, production studios, television production, or sports production
- Strong cost forecasting and budgeting experience in production-based environments
- Experience with project accounting and event-level reconciliation
- Comfortable in a demanding, early-stage startup environment
- Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset
- Willingness to work extended hours and occasional weekends as events require
- Travel to live events approximately 5–10 times annually
