Direct all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, treasury, and financial reporting. Lead and develop a team of approximately 10-12 accounting professionals while overseeing month-end close, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and management reporting. Manage audit, tax, compliance, and internal control activities, perform financial analysis for executive leadership, and drive process improvements adhering to government contracting regulations and accounting standards. This interim role offers a potential transition to a permanent Controller position within a stable, well-established government contractor in Chevy Chase, MD.
