Job Summary
Prepare and present accurate financial reports to aid decision-making while assisting in budget development and monitoring. Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including payroll, general ledger maintenance, and tracking for incoming donors, investments, and outgoing lending as the Loan Fund ramps up. Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and facilitate external audits by providing necessary documentation. Liaise with the Operations Manager and book-keeper to maintain precise records and support grant application reporting. Contribute to financial forecasting and planning processes. This part-time role requires 4-8 hours per week on a flexible schedule, with options for in-person or remote work in Kingston, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience in nonprofit accounting and financial management
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Familiarity with relevant regulations impacting nonprofit organizations
- Proficiency in Quickbooks and Google Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Must be able to work 4-8 hours per week on a flexible schedule
- Position must be performed either in person or remotely in Kingston, NY
