Job Summary
Controller overseeing accounting operations for a multi-entity environment, managing monthly/quarterly/year-end close with strict adherence to US GAAP; prepare and validate journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules; contribute to internal management reports and external financial statements; support M&A due diligence and purchase accounting memo preparation; develop and enhance accounting methodologies, internal controls, and processes; collaborate with FP&A and operational teams to deliver accurate data for reporting and analysis; assist with external audits, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting; drive process improvements and system upgrades; mentor junior accounting staff; oversee general ledger integrity and intercompany eliminations; engage with C-Suite on day-to-day financial activities and reporting, including monthly actuals vs. budget discussions; identify opportunities for automation and efficiency in the close process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related degree
- Public Accounting experience is required
- Active CPA License is highly desired
- ERP Experience such as NetSuite, MS Dynamics 365, Sage 300, Acumatica, SAP, Oracle, Workday, MS Dynamics GP or Intacct
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Capacity to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
