Job Summary

Coordinate and manage all functions pertaining to General Ledger, Payroll, Revenue Audit, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Hard Count, Soft Count, and Inventory Control. Establish policies, procedures, and controls consistent with General Accepted Accounting Principles while directing the preparation of monthly financial statements, quarterly reports, and external audit reviews. Supervise the Finance Department's management staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating Team Members across these divisions. Monitor financial activities to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and the Gaming Commission, troubleshooting issues to ensure accurate reporting and internal control evaluations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance from a four-year college or university
  • Minimum of five to ten years experience in casino gaming financial institution, or hospitality industries
  • At least five years in a supervisory or management role
  • Knowledge of casino accounting procedures
  • CPA preferred
  • Must possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Experience with budgeting
  • Experience with financial reporting
  • Experience with expense analysis
  • Experience with cost benefit analysis
  • Experience with financial statement interpretation
  • Must be extremely numbers-oriented
  • Must be computer-literate
  • Superior spreadsheet skills
  • Minimum of three years experience in financial analysis or related area
  • Experience preferably in the gaming industry
  • SEC/public financial reporting experience preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex of documents, such as technical journals, financial reports and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables
